We're HE Comply, a software startup in international education. Universities and the agencies that recruit their students operate on contracts worth billions of dollars a year in commission, yet most still manage them using email and spreadsheets. Our platform reads those contracts, tracks every expiry, and lets both sides renew and sign in one place. Agencies in dozens of countries already use it.
We need a digitally native marketer to tell that story to a high standard. You'll be our first dedicated marketing hire, working closely with and reporting to the CEO and Co-founder. It's demanding work, and we'll back you with regular face time, clear direction, and real responsibility as the company grows.
What you'll be doing
These are examples, and they will change. We'll double down on what works and stop what doesn't.
- Create LinkedIn posts and assets for our company page.
- Write and maintain support articles that help users get the most from HE Comply.
- Write emails for users and prospects.
- Present short videos to camera, and edit and package them ready for use.
- Make product videos and animations in the style of those on hecomply.com.
- Turn each new product release into clear, user-facing content as soon as it ships.
- Contact users who have gone quiet, help them get started again, and find new contacts in their organisations.
- Support the onboarding and activation of new agency users.
- Create email campaigns for prospect and lead cohorts.
How we work
You'll plan the work both strategically and tactically. You'll ship it, and tell us what happened. We won't approve every post or hold your hand through each task. We judge results, not activity.
We'll measure your success by:
- lapsed users brought back, and new agency users fully activated;
- growth in our LinkedIn following, and in clicks through to sign-up; and
- posts, videos and support articles shipped on time, every week.
What you'll need
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Confidence on camera, and strong video editing skills.
- Exceptional skills with AI tools for visuals and animation. You have to be better than we are. You use AI to work faster, never to write for you.
- 3+ years of B2B marketing experience, including at least 2 years working with Australian, UK, or US companies. Experience in education or complex SaaS is a bonus.
- Hands-on experience with LinkedIn and HubSpot.
- Reliability and speed.
- The mindset of a startup employee: results matter.
- Reliable internet, a good computer, and a backup plan if your power or internet fails.
- Desirable: product marketing experience you can show us, such as published product videos and assets you made yourself.
- Desirable: HTML and CSS skills, so you can help manage our website.
We care about the quality of your work, not which tools you use. In your application, tell us which tools you use for design, video, and AI (for example Canva, Figma, CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Midjourney, or Runway).
How to apply
Apply through our form only: apply here.
Do not contact anyone at HE Comply by email, LinkedIn, or any other channel about this role. Doing so will disqualify your application. Everything you need to understand this role and make a solid application is available to you on our website, and we're just too busy to take queries or review application materials outside the formal process.
You'll need:
- your CV (two pages maximum);
- a single link to the best piece of work you've published;
- a 60–90 second video, with you on camera, explaining why you're a great fit for us; and
- the names and contact details of two references from previous managers. We will contact them if we like your app.
Applications without a link to published work won't be considered.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview and a paid 30-minute task (A$20).
